Fantasy Heroes

Fantasy Heroes (alpha working title) is a new single-player army building strategy RPG by indie game designer Liminal Warmth.

Recruit and build an army of dozens of legendary characters each with their own special abilities, traits, and backstories. Level up your heroes and arrange them into different squads for specialized missions as you grow your kingdom and work to bring order back to a shattered and broken world!

The gameplay is inspired by mobile RPG strategy games, classic tabletop RPGs,  and collectible card games, with a professionally written story and a huge and ever-expanding roster of characters to recruit and train.

• 35+ Unique Heroes for your Roster - Recruit and train up to 30 unique and 5 legendary heroes across six factions in the initial release! Arrange your recruits into squads of five and assign them to farm loot or defend strategic resources from raiders when you're not actively controlling them.
• Exciting Turn-Based Battles - A deep and complex combat system modeled after the best AAA mobile RPG strategy games provides an endless variety of challenges. Recruit different heroes for different situations!
• Build Your Kingdom - Quest for resources to upgrade your kingdom and expand your ever-growing base of operations as you venture out into the world.
• Multiple Game Modes - As you progress in the main campaign, new types of battles and challenges will be unlocked for your heroes to attempt: Fight in the Colosseum, try your hand at Dimensional Challenges, or take your favorite team into one of the Ancient Dungeons that offers a unique mix of random story events and combat challenges every time!
• Emergent Story Events - Randomized story events present themselves as you adventure, forcing you to make difficult role-playing choices and offering unique opportunities to unlock special characters or loot.
• Seasonal Challenges - The game world has its own calendar that advances as you play, and some challenges are available only during specific seasons. Plan your time carefully to ensure you're ready when the day comes!

You are a Fatecaster, a mystical being with the power to summon and command the souls of heroes from many different dimensions and timelines. For 1000 years you have slumbered in retreat from the mortal realm, but now a small band of heroes has awakened you in a time of dire need!

The Radiant Imperator, leader of the sprawling Empire of the Sun, has opened the gates to the void in an attempt to secure its power, but in doing so she may have fractured the world forever. Realities and dimensions are crossing with chaotic abandon as her sinister generals attempt to harvest the void essence and expand the might of their empire. Only you have the power to summon the heroes of the ages and fight back against them.

You've grown weak during your slumber, and you must regain your strength and rebuild your army. But the world is strange and not as you remember it. Much has happened in the last 1000 years. 

Humanity outside the empire has fallen, and the remaining free people live in scattered tribes of savage barbarians, a shadow of what they once were. The xenophobic elves have retreated deep into their forest sanctuaries, uncaring and indifferent, and the other races gather in the chaotic squalor of the few free cities that shelter them against the horrors of the empire's rule. The one bastion of true civilization that remains is the Citadel of Ages, where undead scholars, mages, and artists pursue their eternal crafts unfettered by the yoke of mortality.

Fantasy Heroes (working title) is currently in active development and is in a pre-alpha state. It will be ready for release when it's ready for release.
